Panathinaikos was superior, took an early lead, and seemed to have the win in its hands at Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium, but once again conceded a goal late in the match, ending in a 1–1 draw with Aris.
The Greens started the game with energy and determination, finding the net in their very first attack. In the 3rd minute, Calabria delivered a brilliant through ball behind the Aris defense, perfectly picking out Sviderski. The Polish striker moved swiftly into space and finished superbly past Dioudis to open the scoring.
Panathinaikos maintained total control throughout the first half and created two more good chances for a second goal — with a header by Swiderski (18’) and a shot by Tete (38’). In the only moment Aris threatened, with a shot from Kangwa in the 39th minute, Dragowski made a spectacular save.
The second half began with more pressure from the Greens, who threatened twice again: in the 48th minute with a shot from Cerin from the edge of the box, and in the 49th minute with a diagonal effort by Zaroury, which Dioudis stopped after two attempts. In the 62nd minute, Rose fired a volley wide, while Zaroury responded in the 68th with a cross-shot that narrowly missed the post.
In the 74th minute, both the referee and the VAR ignored a clear penalty on Geremeyev, who was brought down by Rose inside the box. The foul was not given, and in the next play the home team equalized. In the 75th minute, after a cross by Gianniotas — following an offensive foul on Cerin that again went unnoticed — Donis scored to make it 1–1.
In the remaining time, Panathinaikos pushed hard for a winning goal, creating good chances with Jeremejeff (88’), Tete (91’), and both Pantovic and Djuricic (94’), but failed to find the net.
