Panathinaikos has consistently supported and developed PAO LAB, systematically investing in its people and infrastructure. This investment has significantly benefited our team over the years and has now earned recognition from the global scientific community. Proof of this is the participation of PAO LAB, through its representative Giorgos Papadimitriou, in the 2025 Annual Conference of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), held in Atlanta, USA. A scientific conference attended also by representatives of the World Health Organization.

The ACSM is a leading international scientific organization in the fields of exercise, sports performance, and health. The presentation of our scientific research at such an important global conference is the result of the strategic investment made in recent years in the PAO Performance Lab, which collaborates with the Unit of Molecular and Applied Exercise Physiology at the Physiology Laboratory of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

Participation in the ACSM Annual Conference strengthens the international scientific presence of the club, offering access to cutting-edge knowledge and technologies related to exercise and health. It is the result of systematic investment in the creation and operation of PAO LAB and highlights the club’s consistent commitment to incorporating science into the core of its performance strategy.

In summary, Panathinaikos, through PAO LAB, emerges as a pioneer in the Greek context, while its presence and activity in international scientific conferences establish it as a reference point in the global sports arena.
