Panathinaikos FC announces the acquisition of Davide Calabria! The 28-year-old Italian right back signed a three-year contract and becomes the seventh addition to the squad for the new season. With Calabria’s signing, the Shamrock adds to its roster a player with nearly 250 appearances for AC Milan, where he also wore the captain’s armband.

Davide Calabria was born on December 6, 1996, in Brescia, Italy. His football life has been closely tied to Milan. He joined the academy of the Italian giants at the age of 11. Shortly after his 18th birthday, he entered the first team and made his debut at the end of the 2014–15 season! Since then, he became a regular starter for Milan and, from 2022, wore the captain’s armband, taking on the responsibility in this historic club.

At the beginning of 2025, a managerial change at Milan led to his departure after nearly 18 years of continuous presence. He left the club having won one league title and two Super Cups. Calabria was then loaned to Bologna, where he managed to win the Italian Cup—ironically defeating his beloved Milan in the final! He has played in 7 matches for the Italian national team, as well as for all the youth teams of his country.

We welcome Davide to the Panathinaikos family!
