FC Panathinaikos announces the signing of Vicente Taborda. The 24-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder has signed a four-year contract and becomes the eleventh addition to the squad for the current season.
Vicente Taborda was born on June 16, 2001, in Gualeguay, Argentina. He began his football career at the academy of his hometown club, Centro Bancario Gualeguay, until his talent was spotted by the top team in Latin America, Boca Juniors. Before turning 10, Taborda was already learning the basics of football at the club of his heart.
Before even signing a professional contract, at the age of 20, he made his debut with the first team! A year later, he was loaned to Platense, where he gradually showcased his skills, became a starter, and “forced” Boca to bring him back a year later. The reverse move happened again in the summer of 2024, taking him back to Platense, with whom he celebrated winning the Argentine Apertura title that season!
At Panathinaikos, he will wear the jersey number 20.
