Panathinaikos FC announces the beginning of its cooperation with Miguel Ángel Corona, who immediately takes on the role of the club’s Technical Director and Head of the Football Department. His appointment is part of the club’s plan for a comprehensive restructuring of the team.
Mr. Corona was born in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, on February 12, 1981. He began his football career in the youth academies of Real Madrid and continued with Zaragoza, Poli Ejido, Albacete, Almería, while he also played in Australia. During his playing career, he pursued academic studies and obtained a Law degree in Spain.
Immediately after hanging up his boots in the summer of 2017, Mr. Corona assumed the role of Sporting Director at Almería. In January 2020, he was hired by Valencia as Head of the Scouting Department, and in the following years he was promoted to Technical Director and later to Sporting Director of “Los Murciélagos”, a position he held until recently.
