Panathinaikos faced AS Roma tonight at OAKA for the 1st leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 32. Vucinic opened the score for the visiting team in the 29th minute and the score remained 0-1 until the end of the first half. Dimitris Salpingidis equalized in the 67th minute but AS Roma managed to regain the lead with Pizzaro (pen. 81’). Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, who had just come off the bench, equalized once more for the “Greens” in the 84th minute and Djibril Cisse headed in the winning goal (89’) which produced the final score: Panathinaikos – AS Roma 3-2.
