Panathinaikos remained on top of the league with 47 points, after tonight’s 2-0 win over Panthrakikos at OAKA. Karagounis opened the score for the “Greens” in the 26th minute with a well-struck effort from outside the box and Dimitris Salpiggidis netted a second in the 40th minute, sealing the victory for the “Shamrock”. The second half remained goalless despite the numerous chances created by Panathinaikos’ footballers.
