Panathinaikos FC announces the signing of Imran Louza. The 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder joins the Greens on a permanent transfer from English club Watford and has signed a three-year contract.
Imran Louza was born on May 1st 1999 in Nantes, France. He joined the Nantes academy at the age of seven, progressing through every stage of his footballing development and captaining several of the club’s youth teams. In January 2019, he made his professional debut for the first team in a French Cup match against Châteauroux, marking his maiden appearance with a goal.
In the summer of 2021, following two seasons in which he played an important role for Nantes, recording 66 appearances and 12 goals, he completed a move to Watford. With the English club, he competed in both the Premier League and the Championship, establishing himself as a key member of their midfield.
In January 2024, he returned to France to join Lorient on loan until the end of the season. He subsequently returned to Watford, where he enjoyed another two full seasons. In total, he registered 141 appearances, 15 goals and 22 assists for the English club.
At international level, Louza represented both Morocco and France at youth level. In 2021, however, he made the definitive decision to represent Morocco at senior level. He made his debut against Guinea-Bissau in October of that year, scoring on his first appearance. He has earned 15 caps for the Moroccan national team.
