Panathinaikos FC is pleased to announce the signing of Elmin Rastoder from the Swiss champion team Thun. The 24-year-old striker has signed a four-year contract and joins the Greens to strengthen the attacking line, bringing goals, assists, and a strong presence inside the penalty area.

Elmin Rastoder was born on October 7, 2001, in Wetzikon, Switzerland. He developed a passion for football from an early age and joined the Grasshopper Club Zürich academy in 2017, progressing steadily through the club’s youth ranks. During the 2021-22 season, he scored 13 goals in 26 appearances for the U21 side, making a significant impact.

He made his professional debut on October 16, 2020, in a Swiss Challenge League match against Neuchâtel Xamax, before making his first appearance in the Swiss Super League on March 20, 2022, against Basel.

In summer 2022, in search of regular playing time, he joined Vaduz on loan. During his spell there, he made 44 appearances in the Swiss second division and scored 12 goals.

Rastoder returned to Grasshopper in the summer of 2023 before being loaned back to Vaduz six months later. His impressive performances earned him a permanent move to Thun in the summer of 2024 on a three-year contract, where he quickly established himself as a key player.

In his first season, he helped Thun win the Swiss Challenge League title and secured its promotion to the Swiss Super League. He then played a decisive role in the club’s historic first Swiss championship triumph. Across 36 appearances, he scored 15 goals and provided six assists, proving to be one of the driving forces behind Thun’s title-winning campaign.

We welcome Elmin into Panathinaikos family.
