FC Panathinaikos announces the acquisition of Triantafyllos Tsapras from FC Levadiakos. The 24-year-old defender has signed a four-year contract and joins the Greens to strengthen both the defensive line and the Greek core of the team.

Triantafyllos Tsapras was born on October 22, 2001, in Livadeia. He took his first footballing steps in academies across Boeotia and also spent a brief period in AEK’s youth academy before returning to his hometown to join Levadiakos.

There, he began attracting the attention of the football community, as his performances were impressive, particularly with Levadiakos U19 during the 2018–19 season.

The following season, on October 25, 2019, at the age of 18, he made his professional debut in Super League 2 against PAS Giannina, while during the 2021–22 season he established himself as a regular starter in Levadiakos’ defense.

For five years, he was a key figure at the back for the Boeotian club, not only because of his defensive abilities but also due to his creative contribution. His record of 26 assists in 167 appearances (87 of them in the Super League) for Levadiakos highlights his impact, while he has also scored 13 goals.

He played a decisive role in Levadiakos’ two promotions to the top division in 2022 and 2024, while he was also one of the protagonists in the club’s impressive campaign last season, both in the league (5th place in the regular season) and in the Greek Cup (semi-finals). As a result, he became one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market, but Panathinaikos ultimately succeeded in bringing him to the club.

We welcome Triantafyllos into Panathinaikos family.
