F.C. Panathinaikos announces the acquisition of Oscar Hiljemark, on loan, from the Italian team of Genoa. This international player with the Swedish national team will enter our team’s roster for the 2017-18 season.

Hiljemark was born in Gislavent, Sweden on the 28th of June 1992 and did his first football steps in the local team, till he moved to IF Elfsborg, when he was 16. He joined immediately the “young” Swedish national teams and became a starting line-up player of Elfsborg since his 18 years. From an early age he was in the spotlight of important teams such as Genoa and Club Brugge KV, but finally, in January 2013, he was acquired by PSV Eindhoven. He remained to PSV till summer 2015 (winning the championship in the 2014-15 season). Then he was transferred to Palermo, after his outstanding appearance in the European Championship U-21, where Sweden won the title. He played steadily for Palermo during a year and a half, till January 2017. Then he moved on loan to Genoa which activated its purchase option in summer. He is a lineup player with the Swedish national team.

Oscar welcome to our team!
