Panathinaikos FC announces the signing of Etienne Camara from Charleroi. The 23-year-old French central midfielder has signed a four-year contract.
Etienne Camara was born on March 30, 2003, in Noisy-le-Grand, a suburb of Paris, and has Guinean roots. He took his first steps in football at the age of six in the youth academy of French club Torcy.
In the summer of 2019, he moved to Angers, where he played for approximately seven months at an academy level before spreading his wings and moving to English football. Huddersfield became the next stop in his career, with Camara making his professional debut at the age of 18. He then transferred to Udinese, while his most recent club before today was Charleroi. He spent two seasons with the Belgian side, making a total of 85 appearances, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
He was also a member of France’s U20 national team, representing his country at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Argentina.
We welcome Etienne into the Panathinaikos family.
