Panathinaikos held its first training session ahead of the new season on Thursday afternoon at “G. Kalafatis”, under the guidance of Jakob Neestrup, as the Greens gradually began adapting to the philosophy and demands of the Danish coach.

The session started with a warm-up and stretching exercises, allowing the players to prepare for the main part of the training. Afterwards, the coaching staff focused on ball circulation, demanding intensity, a high tempo and proper positioning.

A rondo exercise followed, featuring quick ball exchanges in a very limited space. During the final part of the session, the emphasis once again shifted to build-up play and ball circulation. The Greens worked intensively on an exercise aimed at improving quick ball movement, decision-making under pressure and maintaining possession through continuous combinations and off-the-ball movement.

In addition, academy players Lavdas, Geitonas, Biniaris and Nebis are participating in the pre-season preparations, with the latter following a special program today.

Kyriopoulos, Palmer-Brown, Ingason and Bokos trained individually, while Dessers followed a special program.

The international players Tetteh, Kontouris, Kyriakopoulos, Cerin and Jagusic were absent, as were Bakasetas, Jedvaj, Sissoko, Pantovic and Vilhena, who had been granted special leave. Chirivella was also absent with a special permission due to his wedding.
